This blog is written with the intention of sharing personal bits of my life, lessons I am learning along the way and the simple things that bring joy to the journey.

Hot Pressed
I was in a hot-dude-sammich, not once, but twice today on two different trains. One pressed on the rear and one pressed on the money shot. I will have you know I made a point to give a sly smile to all of the lucky gents who were all quick to return the gesture. She's back! Feels good, y'all!

Baby Monkey (Going Backwards On A Pig) - Parry Gripp
This brings me an insane amount of joy. The song, the pig, the baby monkey. All of it. Hope you enjoy!

The Northeast has it all wrong
I did not know about sleet y'all. I called it "frozen rain" today and I showed just how Southern I really am. I honestly have never had the displeasure of dealing with sleet until today. I had successfully avoided that shit...until today. You can't even use an umbrella-- it just swirls underneath your layer of protection and stabs you in the face. ______________________________________________________________
Dear Sleet,
Fuck off. You are not welcome here, with your stinging icy pellets of hate.
Yours truly,
Me

Another caveat of my migration to the North is the sorry effect of Daylight Savings time in the winter. Now it gets dark at the ripe old time of 4:30pm. Lemme tell you about nightfall in the middle of the effing afternoon-- total bullshit. Not only is it freezing ass cold(er) when I leave work, but my biological clock tells me that I'm ready for dinner AND I want to go to bed a good hour and a half before I can clock out for the day. I don't even know how to process this.
