Hi All! Happy Monday! I am very tired again on account of a restless night. My dreams were intense and kept waking me up. Strangely, I don't remember them at all this morning. I wish I could wake up and journal them, but if I took the time to write things down, my sleep would be completely interrupted and I can't have that. I will need to figure something out. Maybe a recorder? That would be hilarious and froggy.
Anyway, the last few days have been extremely eventful and the floodgates have been opened. I've learned an exponential amount about myself in a very short time. These are things that I already knew, but now I have the right tools to properly deal with them. It is liberating and brings me a real sense of internal strength. I have learned that bullies are just insecure, immature children who intimidate and manipulate to mask their inadequacies. I have finally reached a place where I will not allow those types of people to rule my life any longer. I took a stand and I won. I also got a lot of encouragement from a couple special ladies who bolstered my determination to cease to be a doormat. I have fully implemented this practice and will continue to do so. This experience also showed me that I have a tendency to date men that wish to control me as well. No more. Equal partnerships are the only kind of relationship that I will entertain. How amazing that I am just now reaching this epiphany at 29. I am grateful I got here at all.
I hope that all of you take time to reflect on your relationships and eradicate those that are based on fear, intimidation or coercion. It's time to be surrounded only by people who build you up and let you know that you matter, because you do.
