It's Thursday again and I feel particularly inspired to get my cook on tonight. I downloaded a bunch of recipes that look delish and are in need of my consumption. I also commandeered a vase from work so I can have some fresh flowers in my room. The last item to purchase is a book shelf and my space will be complete! I'm starting to feel like nesting and by Monday, the apartment will be fully furnished and become a true home. I'm thrilled at the prospect of being more of a homebody in a place that feels good to be in. Since the lease goes to the end of March, I will need to make the most of it until I can move to another area of town. Come February, I will be in hunting mode for some new digs and I stand by my resolution to do things my way this time.
Last night was a laugh riot with the Daily Show and Friends. The Central Park Summer Stage is a fantastic venue and the performances were stellar. John Oliver, Lewis Black and Wyatt Cenac were in rare form and I laughed until it hurt. The crickets in the park were on loud speaker and the lightning bugs were swirling. It was a beautiful culmination.
Tomorrow night is Modest Mouse at the Williamsburg Waterfront and a birthday gathering at Union Pool, which is an awesome place with a private dance party room and a taco truck parked in the back yard. Oh yes. I love this town and it really is starting to feel like home.
Hope your Thursdays are lovely!
