Why am I so tired on this Wednesday? I got a full 8 hours of sleep and had many dreams to boot. I actually fell asleep on the train with coffee in hand. Very unusual because I don't nod off on the subway for several good reasons. At the moment I am slinging coffee and peanut m & m's, hoping that will jar me to full consciousness.
Yesterday was productive. I didn't do a lick of work while at the office since I was so tired and hateful about having to come in for just a couple of hours. I wouldn't have minded if work were nearby, but the commute time is so long. I met up with my guru and we reviewed the plan of attack. Things are coming together and she outlined all of the materials necessary to complete our little project. I'm trying not to be stressed about money. I am completely broke and there are other things that I need to purchase such as a plane ticket to chi-town and a new computer. My financial resources are extremely limited and that's tough for me to accept. I will just have to live A LOT more frugally so we can achieve completion of the project and I can get the items I need for my life. She keeps on assuring me that the money will all come back to me and I shouldn't worry about it. I know she is right and for the first time in my life, I am making a true investment in myself, so money is irrelevant. I have faith and know in my heart and gut that this is the right path to be on. Money amounts to nothing if your life is unfulfilled. True story.
Aside from my financial concerns, things are floating along and my house guests are staying a day longer and departing Friday morning. I cooked them a nice pasta dinner with texas toast and spinach salad last night. It was the first real meal they have had since coming here. I swear I think they may turn into peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Mama instinct took over and I had to make sure they ate some good nutrition. Ugh, boys. It was a nice evening in and I needed to relax. Tonight we are off to Central Park summer stage for the Daily Show and Friends. It will be a bunch of stand-up performances by Daily Show correspondents and a short film. I'm really looking forward to it and hope the weather cooperates because I refuse to stand in the rain in my nice work clothes. Ain't gonna happen.
Here we go!
